Sandy has embodied the spirit of cheerleading—enthusiasm, passion, and community—throughout all aspects of her life. A proud alumna of the University of Connecticut, she earned her degree in Physical Therapy before continuing her love of learning with a Master’s in Neuroscience at the University of Hartford. After many years as a pediatric physical therapist, she stepped away to focus on raising her three children. Today, she finds joy in cheering them on as they build their lives in Boston and New York City.
Cheerleading has been a lifelong passion, beginning in elementary school and continuing through college as a UConn Huskies cheerleader. The highlight of her cheer career was being selected as a New England Patriots Cheerleader for the 1984-85 season. She later coached at the University of Hartford, sharing her love of the sport with the next generation. She continues to embrace her joy of dance by participating in a weekly adult tap class.
Beyond cheerleading, Sandy is deeply committed to giving back to her community. She has devoted countless hours to volunteering in her local schools, parish, and organizations. She has served as a Trustee of her church for over 20 years and sits on both the Parish and Finance Councils. She is also actively involved in supporting the Amazing Grace Food Pantry. Her dedication to service has earned her several awards, most notably the Saint Joseph Medal of Appreciation, awarded by the Archdiocese of Hartford in recognition of her outstanding contributions.
In her free time, Sandy enjoys reading, baking, and crafting. A voracious reader, she finishes over 100 books a year and serves as the moderator of her local book group. An avid baker, she has hosted an annual holiday cookie swap for over 25 years, welcoming thousands of cookies into her home. During the pandemic, she put her crafting skills to work, sewing and personalizing hundreds of masks for those in need.
She has been married to her husband, Neil, for 34 years, and they reside in Glastonbury, CT. As NEPCAA Vice President, she is eager to strengthen alumni connections, honor the legacy of Patriots cheerleaders, and contribute to the organization’s continued growth.

Debi started dancing when she was three years old. She has performed professionally throughout Massachusetts, as well as in New York and Maryland. Although she had no prior experience in cheerleading—only in dance—she was able to transfer her skills and cheered for the New England Patriots during the 1979-1980 season.
Her favorite memories of cheering include getting to know the other women on the team and forming lasting friendships. Debi has been active in NEPCAA since 2016, volunteering at various events and participating in the reunion at Gillette Stadium in 2017, as well as the NFCAO reunion held in Boston in 2024.
Debi has two sons and a wonderful grandson. She is the founder and president of the Sean Joyce Foundation, which she established after her son’s passing in 2004.

Janet’s cheerleading career started in the first grade cheering for the Jack Barry Little League in Worcester MA and that’s where it all began! She went on to cheer for many CYC teams while in grade and middle school and then cheered for four years in high school for Saint Mary’s CCHS in Milford,MA. She was co-captain her senior year and was awarded a trip to Dublin Ireland to march with her squad in the St. Patrick’s Day parade!
Janet’s proudest accomplishment is being the mom of three wonderful daughters. All three of them followed her cheerleading footsteps as they cheered in high school for Nipmuc Regional HS where Janet was the varsity cheerleading coach for six years.
After high school Janet attended Barbizon Modeling School and worked as a model for Barbizon in 1974 and1975. Janet attended Blaine hair school in Boston where she started her career as a hairstylist. She worked in a few salons in Boston and Worcester for two years as an apprentice then went on to open and operate seven hair salons over the next 20 years named “Hair Jungle" and “Chestnut Cuts”. Janet became an accomplished hairstylist and mentor to many who went on to open their own salons. Janet sold her last salon 20 years ago and started “Beauty Pros International”, a hair extension certification company servicing over 40 Beauty Schools still today.
As a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren that span two coasts, Janet spends a lot of time traveling back-and-forth for visits to their sporting events and dance performances, but mostly looks forward to their yearly vacation to Cape Cod where everyone is all together!
Janet is very excited about being a member of NEPCAA and mostly enjoys her time when volunteering for the many charitable organizations. Janet was recently appointed to the position of Director at Large and has a seat on the Board of Directors . She looks forward to working as a team for Nepcaa.
Janet’s favorite quote is from JFK “ A rising tide lifts all boats” and Janet likes to add “BE the tide!”
