One of the core purposes of the New England Professional Cheerleaders Alumni Association (NEPCAA) as a charitable 501(c)3 organization is to:
- Promote mentorship, leadership, and wellness to the community through awarding scholarships.
Administrative Review
- The Executive Board will allocate funds annually to be distributed to scholarship recipients based on NEPCAA’s finances. The amount of the scholarships and the number of scholarships to be distributed will be agreed upon at the Board meeting preceding the Annual meeting. The Board will announce its plans for scholarship giving at the Annual Meeting in January of each year.
Scholarship Committee
- A standing Scholarship Committee shall be part of NEPCAA’s organization. It will have a chairperson and a minimum of two additional members. The primary responsibility of the Chairperson is to serve as a liaison between NEPCAA, the schools, and the scholarship recipients. The committee shall manage the process of soliciting scholarship applicants, reviewing applications, selecting recipients, and awarding scholarships. The final selection of the candidates requires Executive Board Approval.
Scholarship Programs
- "NEPCAA SPIRIT SCHOLARSHIP" will be awarded to a high school senior recommended by a current member of NEPCAA. Every year NEPCAA offers a scholarship to a graduating senior who is a high school- based cheerleader, gymnast, or dancer. Note: The NEPCAA Spirit Scholarship application must be submitted to the scholarship committee by March 31st.
- As a NEPCAA Member you have the option of nominating a High School Senior that you think is worthy and deserving of the Spirit Award. Please send a cover letter with 2-3 paragraphs explaining why you nominated the applicant.

Scholarship Program Eligibility:
- Scholarships are awarded to a High School Senior who is a high school-based cheerleader, gymnast, or dancer and who will be enrolled in a four-year program, community college, or technical school.
Application Process:
- The Chairperson and Committee will evaluate all applications that are received by the deadline. Their top choices will then be sent to the NEPCAA Board for final review. Scholarship winners will be notified by telephone by May 15th.
- The NEPCAA Spirit Scholarship application is available online via the web and the NEPCAA private Facebook page and must be submitted by March 31st.
